Between 2004 and 2006 Pete lived in Brazil, studying under Master Crezio de Souza, a legendary figure in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, an original Carlson Gracie black belt, Brazilian wrestling team member and pioneer of Vale-Tudo (anything goes) fighting.
For over a decade Pete competed simultaneously in BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing and Mixed Martial arts. After defeating the American Middleweight champion Reggie Cardiel at Invincible in Los Angeles, he was 2x Strike and Submit British champion, and 2x Strike and Submit European champion, with victories over top German fighter Daniel Weichel, who would go on to become M-1 World champion and Bellator featherweight tournament winner, and Reza ‘Mad dog’ Madadi who would go on to a successful career with the UFC. Although a loss to UFC veteran Jess Liaudin derailed his UFC career aspirations he went on to win the Xth Legion European title 3 times, defeating top ranked Danes David Rosmon and Morten Djursaa, and top German, the Ultimate fighter competitor Nordin Asrih thanks to the teachings of Alan Orr. Pete headlined Belgium’s first professional MMA event, ‘Belgium Beatdown’, defeating former Cagewarriors world champion Ivan Musardo in round 2. After a controversial points loss to John Maguire for the UCMMA title, Pete turned his back on mixed martial arts to pursue  K-1 rules kickboxing.
Trained by Steve Gladstone at the renowned Semtex gym, Pete became the Xplosion super middleweight champion, ICO super middleweight champion and the UCMMA UK-1 (kickboxing in 4 ounce MMA gloves) champion. Pete fought all over Europe, headlined the Estonian martial arts games, fought on W-5 in Moscow, Russia, and in London at Bethnal Green’s hallowed York Hall and at the O2 arena on Enfusion, one of Europe’s largest kickboxing promotions.
As a farewell to MMA in 2013 Pete took on top 10 ranked British Heavyweight Thomas Denham at Made 4 the cage, giving away a significant amount of weight, and defeated him with a third round TKO, and defeated the 2012 King of Shooto, Japan’s Yasaku Inoue in a KTMMA (mixed format Muay Thai and MMA) fight.

Now retired from competition he dedicates his time to teaching and training fighters. With years of  corner experience in high profile events including the UFC, Bellator, Cage Rage, Cagewarriors, KSW, It’s Showtime, Glory and more, he now works with the like of the Hardwick Brothers (Bellator MMA), Jamie Bates (Glory) and a host of up an coming amateurs and novice professionals.

Additionally he commentates on leading North East MMA promotions Made 4 the cage and Shogun MMA, calling the action alongside UKMMA legend Ian ‘The Machine’ Freeman.
